"all you need is love"

your ex-partner (who you do not speak to and avoid communication with as far as possible, and who has indirect and supervised contact with his children ordered by a court due to his past behaviour), sends, via someone else, some gifts for mother's day.

they include: a frame with a series of pictures of the children, from before two years ago (i.e. before all the events which led to final separation), including two of the children with himself.

plus a book called "wedding season" - "all you need is love...". inside is a bookmark - a postcard on "couples counselling" run by the Alpha group. "how to build a long and lasting relationship."

is this:

a) sweet

b) scary

c) amounts to stalking

answers on a postcard please.

and tired of mice

saw one audaciously run past as I watch late night news and literally JUMP OVER the glue trap!

was convinced most scrabbling came from the hall cupboard...so cleared out the hall cupboard, to find droppings everywhere, including inside bags that had been hung up on high pegs...so they are climbing the walls?

so, I have a lunchtime date with Colin the pest control man.

meantime, score two - small mice in the glue trap in the fireplace. But small mice must have come from big mice...eeek!

tired of lice

but perhaps the daily combing through is somewhat therapeutic...

but more tired with news that the teacher in the after school club has told the girls that they "cannot come to club if they have lice".

and if they do, then she will "cut off their hair with scissors" and she "doesn't need permission".

The problem, says, L astutely, is she "thinks it is our fault..."
